Description of the Trail
The trail starts from the Mountain Refuge “Melissourgoi”. In order to access it, you can drive up, a 600 meters long dirt road. If you do not wish to drive on a dirt road you can park your car at the beginning of the path and start your hike up to the Mountain Refuge, instead. Upon your arrival to the Mountain Refuge, ensure you are choosing the right path, as there are several paths that start from the same Refuge. Follow the corresponding sign, stating “Kefalovriso Waterfalls”. The trail begins within a beautiful forest, filled with fir trees. At some point there is an intersection with a dirt road at an altitude of 1.100 meters. Make sure you follow the dirt road and pass a tank. You will then, come across a second intersection. At this intersection, follow the marked path and leave the dirt road. You should move on to a beautiful path, filled with fir trees once again, only at this time, you will get to see a characteristic big tree with a rope, for those without hiking experience to use.
A little meters later, you will get to finally see the view of the Waterfalls from far away. At this point, the path goes downwards (towards the North) and a second rope is to be found. Do pay attention to the signs. After descending for 15o meters, follow the path (towards the West) and you will approach a beautiful stream, coming from the Waterfalls.
From here, onwards, head towards to the Waterfalls. At first, get to see the smaller waterfall, on your right hand side and then the bigger one on your left, with a height of 340 meters.
